This article are mainly tell potential buyers of the main factors to consider when choosing to purchase rental led screen. If you make a decision based on these suggestions, you can guarantee that your decision is 100% correct. The specific model of the video screen you buy should be determined mainly by its installation location and review conditions. This section will give you an in-depth understanding of LED screens so that you can authoritatively discuss your choices with experts.

Mainly Item:

· Estimate the size and location of your screen.

· Decide what kind of media you would primarily like to display on the screen.

· Decide the pixel pitch, i.e., the screen resolution.

· Decide the real and virtual screen resolution.

· Make a decision regarding the screen brightness and viewing angles.

· Consider the minimum and maximum distance of viewing.

· How many and what types of video sources will you use?

· Will the screen be installed permanently or do you need it to be portable?

· Choose a screen control system.

1). The size and position of the video screen

The process of choosing a video screen model (its size and resolution) is very important. The model you choose not only determines the cost of the entire project, but also determines the prospect of selling advertising time on the screen. In fact, an incorrect video screen selection can worsen your advertising time sales, no matter how good the screen installation location is. If you install a 3 x 4 meter video screen with a viewing distance of 400 to 600 meters, then the effective viewing distance of about 200 to 300 meters will simply be lost.

2). Types of information displayed on the video screen

Determining the type of media or information displayed on the video screen will allow the manufacturer/supplier to evaluate the necessary steps between the pixels of the LED screen and its characteristics. When you plan your video screen budget-especially LED screens-you need to consider what is displayed on the screen, otherwise your purchase may prove to be disastrous.

3).Pixels pitch selection:

The choice of pixel pitch and video screen resolution determines the physical limitations of the video screen size, viewing distance, viewing angle, and of course the budget. The cost of the screen is determined by its resolution and area. In order to make high-quality videos on a large video screen, you need to buy a screen with the highest resolution possible under your budget. The screen resolution is defined as the total number of vertical and horizontal pixels (the dots that form the entire image).

4). Real and virtual screen resolution video

When choosing the screen model and manufacturer, you should pay special attention to this key point.

5). Brightness and viewing angle

The measurement unit of LED screen brightness is nit (cd/m2). The higher the value, the higher the brightness of the video screen. The brightness of the internal screen should not exceed 1,500-2,000 nits. For external screens, the brightness should be between 3,500 nits (screens that are not directly exposed to sunlight) to 5,000 nits or higher (when the screens are directly exposed to sunlight). Brightness is measured at a normal angle to the screen.

The color temperature of a video screen should usually be 5000°K for internal screens and 6500°K for outdoor screens. The viewing angle is usually determined by the point where the screen brightness is 50% of the maximum value. As you walk along the length of the screen, you should notice changes in brightness. LED screens have a unique problem with this technology, called "shoulder blocking", that is, when a color change occurs, because one LED blocks (blocks) another LED at a critical viewing angle. The viewing angle should include color changes.

If a significant color change occurs before the brightness drops to 50%, then this is considered to be the viewing angle. Adding a light shield between the pixels or a row of LEDs can reduce the shining of other light sources on the video screen, thereby increasing the contrast. This method also reduces the vertical viewing angle, but for most LED video screen applications, this is usually not a problem. Let us consider a roof-mounted screen as an example. In this case, the wide viewing angle is not important. More important is the direction of the video screen and the priority flow of the audience. This is why a video screen with a viewing angle of 60 degrees—not 120 degrees—is conducive to more efficient use of the video screen’s LEDs and their brightness.

If video screen manufacturers use high currents to control the LEDs, they can indicate that the screen brightness exceeds 7000 nits, although it is physically impossible to obtain a brightness higher than 5000 nits for LED screens with a pixel pitch of 25 mm and above. However, the problem with high brightness is that controlling the high current of the LED will also cause rapid degradation of the screen. Therefore, the brightness and color uniformity of the screen will change rapidly. The lifetime of a typical LED is between 20,000 and 100,000 hours.

These screen brightness numbers are only valid when the actual control current of the LED used under the actual display conditions and the brightness of the actual screen are measured. When evaluating large video screens, you should always check with the manufacturer or supplier. Color mixing distance, minimum viewing distance, and maximum viewing distance.

6).Minimum viewing distance

This value can be calculated as the pixel pitch x750-1000. At this distance, a smooth image can be observed. Watching the video carefully will cause the image to "decay" into individual points (pixels). For example, for a video screen with a pixel pitch of 19 mm, the minimum viewing distance is 19 mm x 1000 = 19 meters.

7).Maximum viewing distance

The formula for calculating the maximum viewing distance is generally screen height×20-30. For example, for a video screen with a height of 4.56 meters, the distance will be 4.56 meters×30=137 meters.

8).The choice of control system LED screen

When choosing a video screen, pay special attention to the control system of the screen. It is usually a control computer under the Windows operating system. However, if you plan to connect the screen to the Internet to remotely control the timetable for displaying video clips and upload it to the hard disk of the controlling computer, or plan to connect the screen to the network of LED screens to control from a central , It is best to choose a control system running under Unix, Linux or other similar operating systems. This will improve the stability of the control system and protect it from unauthorized access and attacks.
